Session 1: Arthropod Genomics and Genome Biology, April 8 12-2pm eastern organized by Lindsey Perkin

Session 2: Genomic Advances in Non-Model Arthropod Pests, May 13 12-2pm eastern organized by Perot Saelao and David Leucke.

AGS at UT in flux. Potentially move to virtual. Satellite meeting (premeeting) in conjunction with ESA and tandem symposia for presentations.

    • Standards (Eric) - Continued work on the gap analysis white paper and genome note recommendations.
      • Exec committee (Monica) - Discussion on tasks and roles for this working group as well as genome project coordination.

  • Working group additional items (example: AGS organization discussion from the Outreach WG)
  • Other items from the community germane to the cc (e.g. relevant EBP updates, new funding opportunities, meetings/conferences)
  • EBP updates:
    • Earth BioGenome Project branding guide + new logo. [please replace old logo with new on all presentations, website and other informational materials]
    • Earth BioGenome Project presentation template. [this will be updated every other week, use as you see fit]

Action item: Contact to have “5000 Insect Genomes” changed to include “i5K”.

    • EBP is also asking for i5k-related publications. If you have an i5k-related paper to share with EBP, please let me know!
  • Featured Discussion: Updates and discussion on i5k tasks and roles for recruitment.

Working groups to address in next month and report back in March. Goal to get requests for help on the website.
